It has been almost a year since I sat to update my blog; much too long and I feel like such a lazy philistine. I was simply not inspired to do so. Most of last year was spent preparing for the GRE and applying to grad school, and well working as usual, and traveling. 2007 was definitely an eventful year. During the summer I went to Guatemala! We created a blog with all of our journal entries and photos during the trip. See here. I also went home in the summertime, as well as in winter for the holidays, which was awesome. Among other things, I attended my grandfather's 80th birthday party! During that trip, I was also able to help Ely with her university applications and visit the newly renovated Griffith observatory in L.A., as well as Chinatown and Olvera Street with Dave!
2008 has been good to me. I got into almost every school I applied to, except for 1. This summer, I'm moving to upstate NY for graduate school. This is seriously, my dream come true. I wanted to upload some pics, but not sure I can that easily. I will see about using Picasa on Google. If it works, there should be a slideshow of several different oldschool pics of me and of my dad and family.
In February, Dave and I finally went to Sapporo for the Yuki Matsuri. At the very end of February, the seniors at Murasakino finally graduated. It was and exciting and emotional day. It is my last year at Murasakino. I still have my private lessons twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other than that, I signed up for a self-guided study course to take the GMAT and have been working on sorting out my accommodation in Ithaca in August.
